2. How do I start my first quest?

Quest for Initiation:
To begin your journey, simply claim a quest online — the same way you would “purchase” a product in a store. Don’t worry… every quest is free.

When a quest is complete, it will appear in your history just like a finished order, marking your step forward on the Hero’s Path. Alternatively, you may receive a quest in person from a Quest Giver in the Realm.

Choose the quest that calls to you, answer its challenge, and your adventure truly begins.

3. Why can I only accept one quest per day?

Quest for Rhythm and Real Growth:
At this stage of the Realm, a Hero may accept only one quest per day, but there is no limit on how many days a chosen quest may take to complete.

This rule ensures that quests are taken with presence, intention, and meaning, rather than rushed.

While you level up online,
the real experience, wisdom, and growth happens within you — and radiates outward into the world you touch.
Every quest becomes part of your legend.

4. What kinds of quests are there?

Quest for Diversity:
The Realm offers a wide variety of quests, each calling on different strengths of the Hero:

• Environmental quests that restore land, water, and balance

• Physical quests that strengthen the vessel and the will
• Creative quests that bring beauty and expression into the world

5. How does the XP and leveling system work?

Quest for Mastery:
Each quest carries challenge ratings in five realms of effort: Mental • Physical • Emotional • Logistical • Social. These shape the XP you gain and determine how quickly your Hero ascends.

To protect balance in the Realm, you may only accept quests whose Level is within 4 levels of your own Hero Level. This keeps challenges meaningful, achievable, and aligned with your growth.

Of course, as you rise, you may always return to lower-level quests — to help, to teach, or simply to deepen your mastery.

6. Do I need special gear, money, or membership?

Quest for Accessibility:
No gear, no fees, no barriers — RL LARP is designed to be free to play, forever.

In the future, some special quests may involve meaningful resources, travel, or cost, but these will always be optional. We will always cater to free-to-play Heroes with a complete path forward that does not require money.

7. How do I prove that I completed a quest?

Quest for Truth and Celebration:
Most quests ask for a simple photo, video, reflection, or timestamp — something small, honest, and meaningful.

Some quests include bonus objectives for extra effort, deeper exploration, or greater impact.

Every quest completion is celebrated — not just because of the points you gain, but because your action made the world a better place. Your proof is not just evidence; it becomes part of the living story of the Realm.

8. Can children or elders play?

Quest for Inclusion Across Generations:
RL LARP is designed primarily for players ages 13 and up.

However, younger adventurers are welcome to participate with the guidance and supervision of a more experienced Hero — a parent, mentor, elder, or guardian. This intergenerational play is encouraged; it strengthens community bonds and revives the ancient tradition of learning by doing.

9. What happens after I submit my quest?

Quest for Continuity and Recognition:
Your completion is logged, XP awarded, and your Hero Profile updated as your legend grows.

Your quest history will appear on your RL LARP forum profile, allowing others to witness your deeds.

Additionally, there will be a public Quest Completion Hub — a living wall of good news — where the accomplishments of Heroes across the Realm are shared to uplift and inspire all.

Receiving a quest from a Quest Giver is a rite of passage: a moment where story, mentorship, and adventure come together. As RL LARP grows, more Quest Givers will appear across towns, cities, trails, and sacred places.

13. What are Quest Lines?

Quest for Continuity:
Some quests stand alone, but others form part of a Quest Line — a sequence of related challenges that build on each other.

For example:
The River Walk → Clean River Walk → Riverside Cleanup
