Description
Help Donate for an Elder
Tagline: Honor wisdom. Lighten the load. Give with dignity.
📜 Quest Summary
Many Elders have goods they would gladly pass on, but the effort to sort, lift, and travel can be a barrier. In this quest, you become the bridge: a kind pair of hands that turns stored value into circulating blessing.
With care and respect, offer to help a local Elder (or Elderly household) prepare items for donation. This may include gathering and boxing goods, wiping/cleaning light surfaces, labeling, and transporting items to a local charity or reuse center.
Consent and Dignity: Let the Elder choose what leaves the home. Move at their pace. Check items for sentimental value before boxing. Your role is service, not judgment.
When complete, take a simple photo of the boxed donations (no faces required) or the drop-off receipt, and write a short note about the experience. Email it to quests@RLLARP.ca with the subject line “Help Donate for an Elder.”
🧭 Suggested Steps
- Reach out to an Elder you know (or through a neighbor/community group) and offer help with donations.
- Agree on a light, realistic scope (e.g., 1–2 hours; which room; which items).
- Bring basic supplies (boxes or bags, tape, marker, gentle wipes).
- Sort together with consent; label clearly (keep / donate / unsure).
- Deliver items to a local charity/reuse center; get a quick photo or receipt.
🎯 Completion Markers
- At least one assisted donation session with an Elder (sorting/boxing and/or transport).
- A photo of boxed items or a donation receipt (no faces needed, respect privacy).
- An email to quests@RLLARP.ca titled “Help Donate for an Elder,” including location (city), what you donated, and a brief reflection.
⚠️ Safety & Respect
- Lift within your limits; use small boxes for books/heavy items; ask for a second person if needed.
- No hazardous waste, prescription meds, or sensitive documents — set those aside as keep/secure.
- Get permission before photographing any items; avoid personal identifiers.
✨ Purpose
