The Council of Harmony has heard their chorus and summons you to silence their sorrow. Armed with oil, wax, or any elixir of lubrication, travel your domain and grant relief to all that squeaks, groans, or grinds. In this simple ritual, you restore peace to the small workings of the world — and show that no cry, however faint, goes unanswered.
When all is quiet once more, listen closely: you may hear the Realm itself sigh in gratitude.
🧭 Objectives
- Seek the Squeaks: Walk your home, workshop, or neighborhood and listen for sounds of distress — doors that protest, chairs that creak, wheels that whine, pedals that plead.
- Prepare the Remedy: Gather your chosen potion of silence — WD-40, olive oil, beeswax, or any gentle lubricant suitable for the task. Clean the area lightly before applying, as every healer must prepare the wound.
- Apply with Intention: As you oil or polish each hinge or joint, imagine yourself healing a minor wound of the world. Move slowly, breathe deeply, and work until the sound fades into stillness.
- Test the Silence: Open the door, rock the chair, or spin the wheel. If the noise is gone, offer thanks. If it lingers, try again — persistence is its own form of magic.
- Record the Deeds: Count how many squeaks you silenced, and note the most stubborn or satisfying.
