Description
Return a Book
Tagline: Close the circle. Let wisdom keep moving.
📜 Quest Summary
Books are bridges of memory. Somewhere on your shelf, in your bag, or in your mind is a book that needs to go home — to a library, a friend, a school, a neighbor, or a community shelf. Returning it is a simple act of honor that keeps knowledge flowing.
Choose one book that you borrowed (recently or long ago) and complete the full return with a short note of thanks. If the book is lost, replace it with the same title (or offer a thoughtful equivalent).
When complete, take a quick photo at the return location (no faces needed) or of the thank-you note/receipt, and email it to quests@RLLARP.ca with the subject line “Return a Book.”
🧭 Suggested Steps
- Identify a book you borrowed from a person or place (library, friend, community shelf, classroom, office).
- Skim your notes or favorite passage; reflect on one thing you gained from it.
- Return the book to its owner/place. If mailing, package it securely.
- Add a short thank-you note (inside the cover or separate): what you learned or appreciated.
- If lost or damaged: replace it with the same title/edition (or offer a fair, thoughtful equivalent).
🎯 Completion Markers
- One borrowed book fully returned (or replaced).
- A brief thank-you note or message to the lender/place.
- A photo of the return location, receipt, or thank-you note.

⚠️ Courtesy & Care
- Handle the book gently; remove bookmarks or sticky notes before returning.
- Respect privacy — avoid posting names/faces without permission.
- If returning to a library, check for fees and clear them if applicable.
