Story Context
Having proven yourself as a Street Guardian, you have shown the Council that you understand the importance of tending the land directly beneath your feet. Your care has lightened your neighborhood — but now, your stewardship expands outward.
The Council now calls you to step into a shared sanctuary of the realm: the park. Parks are the lungs of the community — places where families gather, elders rest, wildlife roams, and the spirit of the land breathes freely.
Yet even sacred places fall into neglect. Litter gathers where joy once flowed, debris settles beneath the trees, and the land grows heavy under what has been forgotten.
Your task is simple and powerful: restore harmony to the park, clearing what does not belong and offering care to what does. This is the next step on your path — from guardian of a single street to protector of the community’s shared earth.
Objectives
1) Survey the Park
Enter the park with attentive eyes. Notice areas that need care — littered paths, cluttered corners, neglected benches, or stressed patches of land. Identify any hazards such as broken glass or sharp metal, and approach safely.
2) Collect and Sort
Walk the park with a bag or bucket, gathering litter and recyclables. Sort recyclables if possible, leave dangerous items for proper authorities, and move gently, honoring the land’s aliveness.
3) Protect the Living World
As you clean, ensure your actions do not disturb nests, young plants, wildlife dens, or tree roots. Remove trash tangled in branches or bushes with care, without damaging living vegetation.
4) Reflect on the Space
When the work is complete, pause and observe the shift in the park's energy. Reflect on how the space feels now compared to before, how your actions serve the wider community, and what it means to be a steward of shared land.
Completion
By completing this quest, you ascend to the rank of Park Protector. The space becomes safer, cleaner, and more vibrant for all who visit.
